Milwaukee/Trifecta

What a fantastic weekend!!!! Though the forecast was set at 77 and isolated thunderstorms I didn't hear one clap of thunder and I think we had MAYBE 40 mins of sprinkles total for the entire weekend.....it's was perfect! And the mark of as Mike called it "The 1st couple's retreat" which of course I thought was super cute!

If you haven't been you should, it's a super easy drive, cute little fun getaway. Plus a great park to get catch some baseball at, tons to do inside the park-

So plan the trip, and if you're looking for a road trip mate, I'd be glad to join!

PS- Last night Mary bought up a good idea for me. I'm naming it "Mascot Trifecta" (because I'm so creative)....I have a fine talent of hunting down various Mascots and nothing short of mauling them before snapping a photo with them, as you can see-I'm 2/3rd there. (if you don't know them, you will now)

The Big Apple.

Yes, it's true I'm going, and in two weeks, I am stoked!!! But sigh, its not New York City or anything crazy or fancy like that. IT'S BETTER!!! I am going to the Allegany Mountains to......

CAMP!!!! WOOO. HOOO.

Which I haven't done since I was like 10 and with the family. My family and I used to go RELIGIOUSLY up to "the dunes" like at least 9 weekends a summer...so it's been awhile and I'm itching for it BIG TIME. Yes, believe it or not this "princess"look-a-like can indeed get down and dirty and rough it (for a short period of time) :).

The even better news is the group I'm going with-ITS HUGE, like over 60 some people are going-how fun! They have a yahoo group, a facebook group, etc. I only know a handful of people (Harold, Karin, Carrie, Jen O, Jen L, Kara, Beth, and Sara) but still, I already know it's going to be amazing I have a sixth sense for these types of things!!!

Countdown ON: 14 days!!!

One (major) downfall. Mark has to work. Boooo...bonus though-"the allegany-iens" have been doing this outing for over 10 years so we'll BOTH get to go next year!!! Upgrade!

Los Angeles.

WHAT A TRIP!!! It was great, could have easily stayed longer but are vacations ever long
enough!!? :)
Soooo LA, what a place. It's SUPPPER dirty, busy and HOT (which is ok) but yea, definitely DIRTY with umm lots of interesting people to say the least. The good news is there is SO much to do so close by!!

So back to "The Pantry Raccoon" aka PR aka Hung Luu. I brought him with us because he has this minor obsession with the West Coast. Sooo much of an obsession that he fancies the coast a number of times a year. I'm not just talking a quick weekend trip to LA and back, I'm talking stop here, stop there and even a stop over in Vegas! This guy rules, and definitely knows his coast! :) I was quite honored to be guided through LA, Hollywood, various beaches, up the coast and even to Dodger's Sadium with his help and expertise. So thank you Hung you are the best (and only) tour guide!!! I do hope to one day plan, witness, and survive a trip to Vegas with you.

Note to everyone-rent a convertible! Though I'm sure it made us look even that much more tourist-y but whatever-be jealous it's ok.





Even though it's sunny mid-80's almost everyday it's STILL quite chilly by the ocean, and of course the day we went to lay out it was cloudy! But still we (our feet) were technically IN the ocean!




Ahhhhhh thank god for pools!!! This is what I live for-here, there, anywhere!!
